Charles Kleibacker, a former fashion designer whose taste for intricately constructed gowns gave him the nickname Master of the Bias in the 1960s, died Sunday in Columbus, Ohio. He was 88.The cause was pneumonia, said the Columbus Museum of Art, where Mr. Kleibacker had been an adjunct curator of design, overseeing several influential exhibitions, since retiring. His most recent show, Kleibackers Class Act, opened last April and included clothing worn by fashion plates like Brooke Astor, Nan Kempner and Nancy Reagan, much of which he personally collected for the museum.
