As it looks for ways to improve its prime time domestic ratings, CNN Worldwide has tapped NBC News Washington Bureau Chief Mark Whitaker to fill the newly created position of managing editor, the cable news organization announced Friday.Mr. Whitaker, who is best known as the former editor of Newsweek, will oversee news and editorial content that appears across CNN, including on its domestic and international networks and its website.
