At Monday night's Edible Schoolyard event at the Odeon, Grub Street caught up with Mario Batali, who showed up in high spirits to support host, friend, and former Eataly vegetable butcher Jennifer Rubell. In between discussing how his oldest son made honor roll with pictures to prove it and being thanked continuously by Akhtar Nawab for "single-handedly keeping Elettaria in business" before it folded, Batali took a moment to discuss the most fashionable foodies no longer an oxymoron in New York City today.
