To enable New York City’s homeless men and women to re-enter the workforce and to achieve long term, economic self-sufficiency.
Founded in 1992, The Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (A.C.E.), is a not-for-profit, community based organization that assists New York City’s homeless men and women in re-entering the workforce and achieving long term, economic self-sufficiency. A.C.E.’s local initiatives, the SoHo and TriBeCa Partnerships, offer an intensive four-month job training and placement program, called Project Comeback and a job retention program called Project Stay.
Project Comeback, is a four month program that consists of hands-on community service projects. Our program participants sweep streets and attend job readiness workshops and introductory computer classes to prepare for the real world work environment. Project Stay is our unique employment retention program that provides a sustaining network for our clients following their graduation. 87% of our graduates remain employed full time. As we are 99% privately funded, financial support of community business and residential partners is critical to our continued success. We are passionate about supporting our clients along every step of the journey as they reclaim their lives.
