Sergei & Gaiane Danilian, Producers Sergei & Gaiane Danilian have established themselves as a successful producers and as two of the most innovative impresarios both in U.S. and abroad. Born in the Soviet Union, both graduated from Russian Academy of the Theater Arts where they met: They married in 1984. After five years working in different drama theaters in Moscow, in 1990 they founded Ardani Artists Management. In 1994, Ardani Artists entered the American market, bringing to the U.S. some of the best exponents of arts and culture from the former Soviet Union. In 1998, Ardani Artists introduced American audiences to Russia’s leading contemporary ballet company, Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg. Ardani Artists has also presented the Bolshoi Ballet in 2002 U.S. tour and the Mariinsky Theater of St. Petersburg 2003, 2005, 2006 U.S. and Canada tours. The Danilians enjoy a longtime association with Orange County Performing Arts center, the West Coast’s premiere presenter of dance. Ardani and Arts center are worked together on the 2006 Mariinsky Festival (opera, ballet, orchestra) which was part of the celebrations for Arts center’s 20th Anniversary and the opening new concert hall, collaborated as co-producers of Kings of the Dance, on of the best dance show of the year of 2006 and which was presented last fall at Bolshoi, Mariinsky and Perm Opera theaters of Russia. Diana Vishneva: Beauty in Motion is a second co-production of Ardani and Artscenter. Upcoming Ardani Artists projects include unprecedented three-weeks long Kirov Ballet and Orchestra season at New York City Center in April 2008.
