Bevy Smith's keen style sense and her razor sharp intuition to recognize trends makes her a distinguished figure in the worlds of fashion and media. This knowledge, combined with her quick wit and her appealing on-air persona, makes her a valuable talent resource for outlets such as VH1, E! Entertainment, Access Hollywood, Oxygen, BET, Food Network and TV ONE.
Recurring stints have included fashion/lifestyle commentary on TV ONE (Access One) and a starring role as the "Style Den Maven" on BET J’s "My Model Looks Better than Your Model". Bevy brings her unique perspective on fashion to television when covering New York’s Fashion Week for BET’s Black Carpet, Access One and Access Hollywood.
Smith is not only a regular on television, but is also a popular resource for print media outlets, such as New York magazine, New York Times, and the Washington Post. Additionally, she is a regular contributor to Paper, the newly revamped Interview Magazine and blogs for Papermag.com. Smith is also a Contributing Editor for Latina Magazine and the business magazine, 21st Century Hustle.
Not content to rest on her television and writing laurels, Smith developed and hosts “Dinner With Bevy.” A unique event connecting trendsetters in fashion, style, music, entertainment and media at chic, intimate dinner settings. Bevy has played the “hostess with the mostest” to top music artists and producers including platinum artists, T.I., Ashanti, Vanessa Carlton, Chris Brown, Mya, Swizz Beatz Solange and Musiq Soulchild. When Bevy Smith, throws one of her exclusive, A-list get-togethers at some of the tastiest hot spots across the globe she is able to partner today's hottest music artists with the Fashion industries top houses and magazine editors. 2008 found Bevy collaborating with Hennessy Cognac as their “Brand Ambassador”. Smith has also collaborated on special projects for Hugo Boss, Veuve Clicquot, Tanqueray and Oscar Winner Jamie Foxx’s 40th birthday party.
Smith wears many hats as a public speaker, tv personality, dinner party hostess and writer, but she never misses an opportunity to continue to help others. Her passion for speaking at local high schools’ career days lead her to become the moderator for Boost Mobile’s "Game Behind The Game" college tour. Smith also works with Housing Works, a New York based thrift store chain and advocacy group that helps people with HIV and AIDS find appropriate housing. Cool Culture, a charity devoted to exposing under-privileged children to the arts, is another charity that is near and dear to Bevy’s heart.
Smith presently lives and loves in her hometown of Harlem, New York.
