Matthew Lauretti is born in Connecticut U.S.A. and spent there is childhood.
He come to Italy and attended the Liceo Artistico “Francesco Arcangeli” in
Bologna than studied with Prof. Sonia Foschi.
He travelled a lot, spent some times in Australia. Now he lives between
Italy and New York.
Since he was a child he demonstrated a great talent for painting and he is
a very creative person. His research is constant and his arts is wrapped
in a shroud of mystery.
To approach his work is like to entering in a magic circle.
Lauretti is not looking for the “artistically correct” compromise of so
many contemporaries, but has chosen the power of individualistic,
cultivated and, at the sometime, wild, abstract, concrete, post-modern and
primitive art.
