Steve Mack is a Photojournalist and Society Disc Jockey based in New York City and is a Contributor to FilmMagic / WireImage / GettyImages in New York. At the age of 10, taught by his uncle, a professional news photographer, Steve Mack began taking pictures professionally of crime and accident scenes for his father and prominent Criminal Defense Attorney, Ruben H. Mack (associated with the firm of Stevens, Hinds & White, PC). Professional event coverage included photos at numerous charity functions for The New York Chapter of the Barrister's Wives, chaired by Steve's mother and former Board of Ed School Teacher, Learline B. Mack. In the later years, Steve covered Red Carpet events and concentrated on Entertainment and Music, shooting concerts and portraits of various recording artists, packaging pictures with Rock Journalist Jesse Nash. One of the highlights of Steve's career was getting published in Rolling Stone Magazine.
Steve spent a 3-year stint shooting and editing news programming for the Office Of Communication of the United Church of Christ, involving travel all over the United States and a trip to the U.S.S.R. before the fall of the Soviet Union. When the UCC moved their headquarters to Cleveland, Steve stayed in New York, purchased motion picture equipment and operated a film production company, shooting music videos for recording artists for air on MTV and MTV International. Steve's love for the moving image opened up opportunities leading to work at National Video Center, Recording Studios and later, Charlex Post Editing where Steve was an Assistant Editor.
Throughout the years, Steve's love for Computer Graphics enhanced his ability to use Photoshop and other graphic/presentation software in the Wall Street and Madison Avenue Community. In the beginning of 2006, Steve came full circle back to specializing in still photography, using high-end digital technology and IT skills to excel as a Photojournalist with 38 years of film photography experience behind him. Steve has been published in numerous newspapers and magazines domestic and international, including Billboard Magazine, Rolling Stone Magazine, The Globe, The Amsterdam News, US Weekly, OK Magazine, InStyle Magazine, Vogue Magazine UK, People Magazine, The New York Post and The Daily News to name a few.
