Women have become independent (financially and in many other ways), and in doing so they no longer rely on men as much as they once did. Being together is all about communication; either seeing one another, speaking on the phone, emails, or texting. If for any reasons you sense that the communication is different or decreasing that can be one of the signs. If suddenly the guy makes up repeated excuses for not being able to behave the way you would expect him or for not being able to see you as he normally would that's another sign. If he seems unusually angry or in a bad mood, take that as a sign too. If he picks on you, if he seems distracted or a bit more distant it means at some point he is going to tell you something and if he does not you will certainly not fail to ask.
