Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo sued a magazine subscription company yesterday, claiming that it had illegally recruited and deceived young workers into selling door to door with little or no compensation. The lawsuit, filed in State Supreme Court in Poughkeepsie, says the company, Jaguar Sales L.L.C. of Gig Harbor, Wash., transported workers to spots far from home, including New York. The workers were forced to endure terrible conditions and required to work six days a week for about 12 hours a day, the lawsuit says. Jaguar Sales had no comment on the lawsuit yesterday, according to a manager, Steve Barcel.
